Darlene Robinson’s leadership journey in education began in 2012 at Anza Trail, where she served three years as assistant principal and nine years as principal. She now serves as the Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services for Sahuarita Unified School District. Before her administrative roles, Mrs. Robinson taught multiple elementary grades for ten years in Flowing Wells School District, earning honors such as Teacher of the Year and Rodel Exemplary Teacher.
Under her leadership, Anza Trail School received the Arizona Educational Foundation A+ School of Excellence recognition in 2015 and 2020–2024. In 2021–2022, she was named Arizona School Administrators Distinguished Administrator of the Year.
Mrs. Robinson actively supports the Arizona Education Foundation as an A+ School Judge and mentors new principals through the Pima County Superintendent’s Leadership Institute and AEF’s Principals Leadership Academy. A proud University of Arizona graduate, she holds a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies, a Post-Baccalaureate in Elementary Education, and a Master’s in Educational Leadership. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Education at Northern Arizona University.
