This Privacy Policy describes how Tucson Values Teachers (“TVT,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information through our website (tucsonvaluesteachers.org), MyTVT.org, and the Teacher Discount Card mobile app. We are committed to maintaining your privacy and safeguarding your data.

Information Collection

  • We collect personal information when you create an account, apply for programs, or participate in our initiatives.
  • Self-reported demographic data may be requested for specific programs or grant reporting purposes.

Data Storage & Security

  • All account data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption and security practices.
  • Account information entered on MyTVT.org is securely transmitted to a secure secondary database system—this enables access to the Teacher Discount Card app—through encrypted API connections.
  • Access to personal data is restricted to authorized TVT personnel for program administration and support.
  • Profile photos used within the Teacher Discount Card app are stored locally on each user’s device and are never uploaded to our servers.

Use of Demographic Information

  • Any demographic information you provide is anonymized before use.
  • Anonymized demographic data is used exclusively for aggregated impact reporting, such as grant submissions and program evaluation.
  • No personally identifiable demographic data is shared with third parties or grantors.

Data Sharing & Disclosure

  • We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
  • Your information may be shared only as required by law or to protect the rights and safety of TVT and its users.

Mobile Terms & Conditions

  • Data Sharing
    • Customer data is not shared with 3rd parties for promotional or marketing purposes.
    • Mobile opt-in and consent are never shared with anyone for any purpose. Any information sharing that may be mentioned elsewhere in this policy excludes mobile opt-in data.

    Messaging Program Terms and Conditions
    1. The messaging program may consist of general customer care messaging to answer questions and provide support to customers, and/or marketing messaging that include discount codes, special deals or texts promoting our products/services, depending on which programs(s) you opt in to. We will only send content you have explicitly signed up to receive via our opt-in process. Messages will be sent from (520) 376-7796.
    2. You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text 'STOP' to the phone number from which you received messages. After you send the SMS message 'STOP' to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. If you want to join again, just sign up as you did the first time and we will start sending SMS messages to you again.
    3. If you are experiencing issues with the messaging program you can reply with the keyword HELP for more assistance, or you can get help directly at dallen@tucsonvaluesteachers.org.
    4. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
    5. As always, message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. Message frequency will vary based on communication needs. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider.

Data Access & Control

  • You may access, update, or request deletion of your personal information by contacting TVT directly.
  • Requests for data access or correction will be handled promptly and securely.

  • TVT may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on our website and within the mobile app.
  • Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
