From day one Ms. Hernandez has made me feel like I matter. She understands me in a way many other do not. She makes learning fun. Ms. Hernandez makes sure her students want to come to school and learn. She is very deserving of this award! She is an excellent example of teacher excellence. Ms. Hernandez lets her students know that they matter and can achieve anything.

I can imagine being a teacher in seventh grade is not for the faint of heart. Not only do you have to teach the students every day, but you also need to reach them on a social/emotional level. Hernandez does just that. She has made a huge impact on my son. One thing she does that I appreciate is she doesn’t only call me for the difficult times, but she also calls or emails to let me know the achievements that he makes. I would love for her to be recognized for her amazing achievements teaching seventh grade!
