Lisa's Favorite Teacher: "Mrs. Barbara Matteson was my 4th grade teacher at Ft. Lowell Elementary School in Tucson. She was as passionate about art as she was academics and every single 3rd grader hoped to be in her class. Her enthusiastic and innovative approach to reaching every student made us feel special, talented and successful. She made 4th grade a very special year. Today, she continues to support teachers by serving as the President of the NEA's Retired Teachers Association. Educators in Arizona are lucky to have Mrs. Matteson as a national advocate for teachers and students!"
